Dear Jane,

 

            This letter will serve as official contract between Jane Doe, and Kerri N. Lay, of Bellissima, for Music Services. Jane Doe agrees to engage Bellissima to perform Solo Violin music for her Wedding.  The Wedding will take place on July 11th, 2005, at 5:30 PM at the Loretto Chapel in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

            Bellissima agrees to provide the highest quality Classical music for the Wedding.  The outline of Musical events for the Wedding Ceremony will be as follows:

 

·         15 minutes of Prelude music for Guests beginning at 5:15 PM.  Music to be chosen by Kerri N. Lay  (Bellissima  will play up to an additional 10 minutes of Prelude Music at no extra fee, if the Wedding begins late.  There will be a $100 fee for every 10 minute increment of delay, starting at 5:40 PM, at which time, Bellissima agrees to continue playing Prelude Music for the  guests).

·         Processional music for all Wedding Attendants, including Grandmothers, Mothers, Bridesmaids, Flower Girls and Ring Bearer.  Music to be chosen by Jane Doe with help and final approval from Kerri N. Lay*

·         Bridal Processional*

·         Optional “Meditational” (background) piece(s) during ceremony *

·         Recessional Music at the conclusion of the ceremony*

·         Postlude music as Guests exit.

·         Music to be chosen by Kerri N. Lay.

 

All Music Selections must be made by June 1st, 2005.

 

Bellissima will be attired in Full Formal Orchestral black:  Men in tuxedos, Women in formal black; dresses or pants and blouse.

 

Ms. Lay requires Ms. Doe to provide: 

 

1.  Pre-payment of Non-Refundable Deposit due with the return of this contract.  Non-Refundable Deposit is $159.38, which is 50% of Total Fee of $318.75*.  Ceremony $300.00 + 6.25% Tax $18.75 = Total Fee $318.75*

2.  Balance of $159.37* due on or before July 11, 2005.

 

*Total Fee subject to change.

 

  • If Special Music is requested for the Wedding Ceremony, which is not already in the Bellissima library, Ms. Lay can possibly compose an arrangement.  There will be an arranging fee for each piece of Special Music composed. Arranging fees can range from $75 to $150 per piece.  Final Music and Arranging fees to be agreed upon by Ms. Doe and Ms. Lay .  __________(initial)
  • Ms. Lay will try all avenues to hire Professional players from Santa Fe.  If Musicians need to be hired from elsewhere, there will be a Mileage Fee of $10 to $40 per traveling Musician.  (Fee applies to Musicians traveling from Los Alamos, Albuquerque or similar distance). __________(initial)
  • If Ms. Doe wishes to hire Ms. Lay to perform at the Rehearsal, there will be a separate fee of $100 + tax.__________(initial)   (Initialing this does not insure availability of Ms. Lay for the Rehearsal and does not indicate a  commitment to hire Ms. Lay for the Rehearsal.)

 

 

3.  Adequate protection from the Sun and inclement weather if performing outdoors. Possibilities for “Protection” from the Sun can be a Large Market umbrella, shaded Portal or heavily foliated grove of trees.  Outdoor location and protection must be approved by Kerri N. Lay, in advance.

4.  A Contact person for the ceremony, whose name and phone #

Contact person will be responsible for working with Kerri N. Lay on the day of the Wedding, giving Music cues for the start of the Ceremony.  If you have a Wedding Planner or Catering Manager, this will be the Contact Person.  If not, please choose a well-organized person who is not involved in the Processing Wedding Party.
